Abstract.
Metal sulfides are widely used because they possess layered structures due to van der Waals interactions.
The preparation of nickel sulfide nanocrystallites with various morphologies such as nanorods [9], nanoneedles [10], nanotubes [10], flower-like patterns [5], chain-like tubes and echinus- like structures [6] have been reported by different methods [3-24].

The scope of this study was to evaluate the effect of metal precursor on the structure and physicochemical characteristics of the catalyst as well as the performance in the glycerol hydrogenolysis reaction.
The phase structures of the catalysts were determined by X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) patterns with Bruker D8 Advance X-ray Powder Diffractometer with Cu Ka (l= 0.15 nm) at angle 2q.

However, drying process constitutes a high energy demanding operation that could affect both structure and components of biological materials affecting further extraction process.
Then the application of ultrasound during drying could affect the internal structure of material facilitating the posterior extraction process.

At the same time, the introduction of high-valance and redox-inactive cations (such as, Ti4+, Zr4+, Nb5+) at B-sites can stabilize the crystal structure, and thus improve the stability of the catalysts, for example, Sc3+-doped PrBaCo2-xScxO6-δ and Zr4+-doped BaCo0.4Fe0.6-xZrxO3-δ [14,15].

As expected, the pure HDPE sheet showed a neat structure.
This is justified due to paper having a cellulosic fibrous structure, resulting in the increase in its surface polarity and thereby increasing its surface wetting property.
