X-ray photoelectron and ultraviolet visible spectroscopies were used for determination of surface chemistry.
Resulting surface properties (e.g. roughness, surface chemistry, wettability etc.) depend on the properties of pristine polymers.
Surface chemistry, polarity and wettability of polyolephine foils were analyzed by ARXPS, electrokinetic analysis and by goniometry.
On HDPE, having similar roughness on both sides, a lamellar structure is clearly seen which is due to large fraction of crystalline phase [13].
Well pronounced lamellar structure was found on HDPE, which is probably due to large fraction of crystalline phase.

The perovskite phase structure was exhibited in the Zn-doped PST thin films.
The distortion of the phase structure will inhibit the growth of the grains.
Other than the grain size is influenced by adding Zn in the perovskite phase structure mentioned above, the dielectric constant of the thin films is also related to the Zn addition in the phase structure.

In this paper, the effect of draw ratio and take-up velocity on the structure of ultra-fine denier PET FDY was studied.
At the practical heat-set temperature, the small crystal nuclei can’t grow to form regional crystalline structure [8~10].
Increase of draw ratio and take-up velocity had different influence on the crystalline size and crystal structure.

Nanoporous structures of the SF films were formed due to self-condensation and nanophase separation of nanoparticles from SF film matrix during drying process.
Then, the SF nanocomposite film with nanoporous structure containing MPEG-b-PDLL nanoparticles was obtained following this procedure.
%Transmittance at 660 nm (T660) of (a) SF, (b) 20/1 SF nanoporous, (c) 20/2 SF nanoporous, (d) 20/3 SF nanoporous and (e) MPEG-b-PDLL films Summary The MPEG-b-PDLL nanoparticles with approximate 100 nm in size loaded into SF film can produced the nanopore structure into the film.

The affinity to oxygen of the foil components was found to be a main factor determining chemical composition and phase structure of the oxides.
The spinel phase with manganese chromite structure and Me2O3 oxide with dichromium trioxide structure are the dominating phases in the oxides formed during the oxidation up to 1113K.
It was revealed that the chemical composition and the phase structure of the oxides were determined by the metal affinities to oxygen and the Mn segregation on the steel crystallites.

Environmentally Friendly Catalyst of Zirconium Pillared Saponite for Solvent Free Esterification of Menthol Is Fatimah Chemistry Department, Islamic University of Indonesia Kampus Terpadu UII, Jl.
Introduction The deleveopment of functional materials as solid catalysts in many chemical processes is one of the important technology regaring to the green chemistry principle.
The function of solid acid in raw saponite can be improved by the insertion of ZrO2 in the interlayer of clay structure by pillarization scheme.
After was pillared with ZrO2 there is a shift of d001 reflection to 6.3o which indicate that there is a formation of ZrO2 as pillars between the silicate layers of saponite structure.
What can be concluded is that Zr-PILS fit to the one of green chemistry principles.
