Prediction of the Maximum Riverbed Erosion Depth nearby the River-Crossing Tunnel in Nanchang Reach of Ganjiang River Limo Tang1,2,a, Quanshuai Liu2,b , Guiping Liu3, Hongwu Tang1and Yang Xiao1,2 1 State Key Laboratory of Hydrology-Water Resources and Hydraulic Engineering, Hohai University, Nanjing, China 2 College of Water Conservancy and Hydropower Engineering, Hohai University, Nanjing, China 3Pudong New Area Sluice Management Agency, Shanghai, China atanglimo@hhu.edu.cn, bliuquanshuai@hhu.edu.cn Keywords: River-crossing tunnel, Maximum erosion depth, Mathematical model, Riverbed evolution Abstract.
For examples, Shi and Dong predicted the maximum riverbed erosion depth of the Qiantang river estuary in the river-cross tunnel reach under extreme flood conditions by physical model experiments and numerical simulation calculation [1,2]; Yang et al. analyzed the limit riverbed erosion depth in the GuangFo river-cross tunnel reach by using 2-D water and sediment mathematical model [3]; Zhang et al. discussed and analyzed the method to determine the maximum riverbed erosion depth of one reach and applied to engineering design, by taking the NanJing river-cross tunnel reach of the lower Yangtze river as an example[4]; Hu et al. analyzed the effects of the cover layer thickness and the water lever changes on the tunnel stability by establishing the finite element model, and that result could provide reference for similar river-cross tunnel projects in structural design[5].
