Composite materials have superior properties than those of the individual components when used alone depending on the type of materials being combined [3].
The concept behind composite materials is the combination of two or more materials in creating a new engineered material [4].
The classification of composite materials is based on the binder material, which binds or holds the filler materials, usually a polymer matrix, and the filler material, usually the fibers, sheets, fragments, particles, or whiskers of natural or synthetic material [1].

These materials combine a soft metallic matrix with hard ceramic particles that withstand wear [1].
The carbides produced by this method showed an improvement of several properties that materials can be compared to materials obtained by conventional processes.
