The structures of these compounds were elucidated by spectroscopic analysis (LC-MS, FTIR and NMR) as 15a-hydroxyandrost-4-en-3,17-dione (15α-OH-AD; 2) and 11a,15a-dihydroxyandrost- 4-en-3,17-dione (11a,15a-diOH-AD; 3).
Microbial transformations of steroids provide an important method of obtaining synthetic intermediates and novel steroid derivatives of potential pharmaceutical activity due to its high chemo-, regio- and stereoselectivity, which additionally fulfills green chemistry principles and meets demands of “ white biotechnology ” [6-10].
Structure elucidation was accomplished by FTIR, ESI-MS and NMR techniques.
Definitive confirmation of the structure of compound 2 was given by comparison with NMR data previously reported for 15α-hydroxyandrost-4-en-3,17-dione [15].

The FTIR results showed a more detailed structure of α-chitin in the region of O-H, N-H and CO stretching region.
The peaks observed were in good match with the reported literature, which conforms the chitosan structure.
The FTIR results indicated that the spectra showed a more detailed structure of α-chitin in the region of O-H, N-H and CO stretching region.

The structure and properties of thin film catalysts were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), SEM and AFM.
It is clearly observed that all of the diffraction peaks can be well-indexed to (002), (110), (103) and (112) phases, corresponding to a hexagonal structure for CdS (JCPDS, No. 77-2306).

The article presents the operation and structure of a dispersion adhesive applicator dedicated for printing industry.
Structure of the Device Based on the mathematical model, a 3D model was designed.
Structure of the control system The user panel displays messages with errors in the case of a low level of glue or a too low/too high temperature (when the glue container heater is switched on).
Free control over the length of the area to be covered in glue enables the manufacture of the documents of different geometry without the need to introduce changes in the structure of the device.

The filler has a significant impact on the structure of polyurethane foam.
The increase in the filled polyurethane foams samples strength by 3 ... 4 times is explained by a less defective structure.
This factor is especially relevant when using polyurethane foam for insulation of roofs of buildings and structures.
The cellular structure of the insulation is broken, the number of open cells increases, and air evaporates from them.

This step allows friction tests to be performed with respect to the physics and chemistry of the studied forming process.
We developed a sequential fluid-structure weak coupling approach in order to compute the deformation of 2D asperities in mixed lubrication regime and predict the final roughness of a deformed strip.
Principle of the a sequential fluid-structure weak coupling approach from [16] Fig. 12. a) Simplified roughness geometry, b) Comparison between the real profile (in blue) and the modeled profile (in red) Fig. 13.
Surface analyses performed on new and used tools exhibit that the structures of the PVD and CVD surfaces are different and lead to different wear patterns.
