Effect of solution-treatment condition on texture of a Ti-Mo-Al-Zr shape memory alloy was investigated by X-ray pole figure measurement.
Ti-Mo-Al-Zr alloy is a Ni-free and β-Ti based biomedical shape memory alloy.
In a Ti-Mo-Al-Zr shape memory alloy, it was reported that {110}β <001>β recrystallization texture (Goss) is developed by the solution-treatment as the reduction rate increases, unlike some Ti-Nb based SMAs [5-10].
The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of solution-treatment condition on the recrystallization texture in the Ti-Mo-Al-Zr shape memory alloy.
This result is in good agreement with the results obtained by Hiramatsu at el [5]. {227}β <110>β and {378}β <112>β are not common as deformation textures of bcc metals [11].

Yield strength of Al-1 Zn is much higher than Al-1 Ag.
The yield strength of Al-1Mg is higher than Al-1Zn but yield strength of wrought aluminum (Al-1Mg-1Ag) is much higher than both Al-1 Mg and Al-1Ag.
After Initial passes, hardness of Al-1 Zn is higher than Al-1 Ag and hardness of Al-1 Mg is higher than Al-1Zn.
