This class of alloys are also widely applied in both automotive and aerospace industries, mainly as light constructional materials [1-2].
The last step was to provide the theoretical local density for each sample position, based on the macrosegregation profiles (which were experimentally determined by a Rigaku Rix 3100 X-Ray Fluorescence Spectrometer), by using the following equation [17]: (1 ) Results and discussion Fig. 1 shows the temperature data collected in the metal during the course of upward solidification of the Al-6wt%Cu1wt%Si (A) and the Al-6wt%Cu4wt%Si (B) alloys castings in the vertical unidirectional solidification setup.

This paper demonstrates the usefulness and accuracy of deep-hole drilling (DHD) method [1] in a component predicted to contain a triaxial residual stress field.
The influence of different material models was also studied. 1.

In order to study the mechanical properties of improved multi-grid composite wall, the low-cycle reduplicative loading tests of 1/2 scale improved multi-grid composite wall were carried out.
The two models of composite walls were point contact multi-grid composite wall (DW-1) and light-steel skeleton multi-grid composite wall (DW-2).
Fig.5 The ultimate failure model of DW-1 Fig.6 Hysteretic curves of DW-1 Fig.7 Skeleton curves of DW-1 Skeleton curve of point contact multi-grid composite wall DW-1 is shown in Fig. 7.
