Shape Memory Alloys (SMA) belong to a special group of metallic materials, which are
capable of returning to a pre-determined shape or size when submitted to an appropriate thermal
cycle.
Introduction Ni-Ti alloys are a special group of metallic materials, also known as "Smart Materials", which have two very important characteristics: superelasticity and shape memory.

One of the Sb based III-V materials, Gallium Antimonide (GaSb) was grown by VDS.
III–V materials are preferred for optoelectronic devices due to their wider or narrower band gaps and especially, their direct band-to-band electronic transitions, which provide high quantum efficiency [2].
Steady improvements in bulk GaAs materials have already made possible the fabrication of diffused junction GaAs solar cells with good performance [6]. 2.
