Carbon membranes are typically produced by pyrolyzing various thermosetting polymeric materials, including polyimides [2], cellulose acetate [3], furfuryl alcohol [4], and phenol-formaldehyde [5], etc. under a variety of pyrolysis conditions.
Pyrolysis conditions were varied in accordance with the type of precursor material.
Variation of d spacing can indicate the graphitization degree of carbonaceous materials.
