Effect of Deposition Voltage on the Composition, Morphology and Optical Properties of ZnS Thin Films Prepared by Cathodic Electrodeposition Zhu Hui1, a, Huang Jian-feng1, b, Cao Li-yun1 , Wang Yan 1 and Zeng Xie-rong2 1 Key Laboratory of Auxiliary Chemistry & Technology for Chemical Industry, Ministry of Education, Shaanxi University of Science & Technology, Xi'an Shaanxi 710021, China 2 Shenzhen Key Laboratories of Special Functional Materials, ShenZhen 518086, China a zhu88hui@163.com, b huangjf@sust.edu.cn Keywords: Semiconductors; Thin films; ZnS; Electrodeposition Abstract.
It is seen that film growth proceeds by nucleation of islands, which subsequently coagulate to cover the entire substrate surface and show a dense structure (Volmer-Weber mode) .This probably due to the orientated moving of Zn 2+ ions under the electric field force during the electrodeposition process.
