Preface ICSAM 2009 was the 10th International Conference on Superplasticity in Advanced Materials.
The meeting was held in Seattle at the Bell Harbor International Conference Center on the central downtown waterfront.
Peer reviewed papers are published in this book and the Key Materials Journal, both of which are Trans.
However, discoveries made around the globe have led to the advancement of superplastic ceramics, inter-metallics, nano materials, plastics, glasses and other materials.
Support for the conference came from the Boeing Company, the University of Washington Mechanical Engineering Department, ASM International, FormTech Gmbh., the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining and the University of Washington Educational Outreach group.
