Materials and Methods
NPP is the acronym of nanoparticles on powder, and it is a novel technique to deposit metal nanoparticles on the surface of carrier having the form of powder or pellet (Fig. 2).
By using NPP technology, it is possible to give new functions to existing materials by depositing metal nanoparticles on them.
One of the benefits of NPP materials for manufacturing antibacterial packaging is the simple process using existing plastic film manufacturing equipment.
It is speculated that excellent dispersibility of NPP materials comes from preferential encapsulating of nanoparticles by polymer due to high surface energy and high purity.
