In this article, the chrome tanned cattle (pig) leather and unsaturated polyester resin or epoxy resin were used as raw materials, leather/resin composite material was prepared.
Before 1970 reports dominantly focused on uses not requiring extensive pretreatment of tanned wastes, including the manufacture insulators, building materials, fibrous sheets, and shoe soles.
It is an effective way for solid leather wastes treatment which combines the leather waste with other materials to form composite materials.
Experimental Section Raw materials.
Journal of Applied Polymer Science, 118 (2010) 446–451

Introduction
Three-dimensional (3D) braided composites reinforced by carbon fibers as a kind of advanced structure materials have been widely used in many industries due to the advantages over the conventional laminated composites, including light weight, high damage tolerance, ect.
Studies of its basic mechanical properties such as strength and stiffness are the most important precondition of how to put the materials into structure design.
