Effect of four materials including glycine, arginine, proline and sodium glutamate on survival of Bifidobacterium bifidum during freeze-drying Qi Ma 1, Tao Qin 1, a, He Chen 2, Guowei Shu 1, 2, b 1 Enzyme Engineering Institute, Shaanxi Academy of Sciences, Xi’an, China 2College of Life Science & Engineering,Shaanxi University of Science & Technology, Xi’an, China alcshgw@gmail.com, bshuguowei@gmail.com Keywords: Bifidobacterium bifidum; freeze-drying; Glycine; Arginine; Proline; Sodium glutamate Abstract:Effect of four materials including glycine, arginine, proline and sodium glutamate on survival of Bifidobacterium bifidum during freeze-drying was studied by measuring the viable counts of before and after freeze-drying.
Materials and Methods Bacterial strain Bifidobacterium bifidum was obtained from College of Life Science & Engineering, Shaanxi University of Science & Technology.
The four materials could significantly improve the survival rate of B. bifidum and the number of viable cells of lyophilized powder; glycine was the best protectant among the four materials.

Composite materials are manufactured by combining two dissimilar materials into a new material which is better suited for a particular application than either of the original material alone.
At present, modern technologies require materials with unusual combination of properties that cannot be met by the conventional materials.

The results show that the creep damage law can be used to study the fatigue-creep interaction behavior of PM materials.
However, the paper on the damage of PM materials caused by fatigue-creep interaction is very few so far.
The method can be used to study the fatigue-creep interaction behavior of many materials. 2.

In this paper, Continuous Basalt Fiber (CBF) was used as the raw materials, and then woven by the Digital sample looms.
The CBF, would be bound to play a significant role in future of fire-retardant materials and high-temperature composite materials, exhibited excellent flame resistance and heat resistance.
Results and Discussion 3.1 Results 3.1.1 Limiting oxygen index test The limiting oxygen index(LOI), reflected the burning behavior of the materials, is the minimum oxygen content to support combustion of materials in nitrogen-oxygen mixed gas, and abbreviated as LOI.
Therefore, Basalt fibers would have broad prospects in the area of flame-retardant composite materials.
