Artificial neural networks have found use in a wide range of applications, such as medicine (neurotransmission, drug interactions and their effects on biomarkers), electrical engineering (signal processing and transformation), biology (prediction of the frequency of populations), economics (estimate of equity and commodities prices), logistics (minimizing time and distance required for delivery of the shipment) and last but not least, industry (optimization of the quality of products, increase production efficiency, reduce scrap) [7,8,9].
