The special edition of journal "Key Engineering Materials" contains the papers contributed to
the 58th International Conference of Materials Science and Applied Chemistry - MSAC 2017,
20th October, 2017, Riga, Latvia.
The MSAC 2017 is hosted by the Faculty of Materials Science and Applied Chemistry of Riga Technical University.

It can be seen that the joint region is rich in Sn for bond made at 540 C and then Sn rich region reduced with the increase of bonding temperature due to the diffusion of Sn into the base materials and the dissolution of the base materials into the joint region.
