During welding, a considerable amount of residual stresses is introduced due to mechanical loads, temperature gradient and phase transformations.
Thus, it is a challenge to interpret the influence of individual factors on the measured magnetic response.
For this reason, several parameters expand from the measured magnetic signals and compared to the examined material’s properties.
Interestingly, both tensile and compressive stresses coexist in the heat affected zone.
The heat affected zone was consisted by non-equiaxed coarsed ferrite grains.

Once this process is finished, the optimization factor of the mixtures is assessed following the research criteria of García et al [6].
In the event of an increase in the plasticity index or clay content, the bond between the soil and the cement will be affected.
