A mesoporous molecular SBA-15 was synthesized using Pluronics P123 (PEO20PPO70PEO20) as a structure-directing agent and TEOS as the silica source under acidic condition, and the structure of SBA-15 was determined by X-ray powder diffractometer and N2 adsorption desorption.
It can be seen that the samples have the P6mm ordered two-dimensional hexagonal structure, which is unique structure of mesoporous molecular sieve SBA-15.
The nitrogen adsorption - desorption isotherms of SBA-15 is typical IV isotherm, which have H1 Hysteresis loop as typical mesoporous structure.
The fibrous morphology of SEM and the ordered structure of TEM for SBA-15 are shown in Figure 3 and Figure 4.
