A Strategy for On-line Monitoring the Crosslinking Degree of 3D Printing Hydrogel Fiber Based on Dual-threshold Enhancement Method

Abstract.
The crosslinking degree is one of the factors that determine the mechanical properties of the hydrogel fiber and scaffolds.
It raised two demands of the enhancement of crosslinking image: first the processing and analyzing of image should be modified for operator’ real-time observation; second the residual noise cannot be too big to affect the precision of crosslinking degree.
According to the above problems, the dual-threshold enhancement method was applied to process the crosslinking image of hydrogel fiber fabricated by the 3D printing process, in order to realize an accurate real-time measurement of crosslinking degree and ensure the mechanical properties of hydrogel fiber and scaffolds.
But after the image enhancement processing, the error derived from the pre-enhancing image can reduce, the weak bright portion of the image will be strengthened, the color gradation of the crosslinking image will be improved, the physical properties of the image will be restored, and the measurement of crosslinking degree will be more accurate.

In addition, the slip dislocations are easily blocked by grain boundary or sub-boundary so as to stagnate and accumulate, which is also the paramount factors resulting in the cyclic strain hardening.
