Catalytic hydrolysis of CS2 follows the reactions: (1) (2) (3) Coconut shell activated carbons (CSAC) is an attractive alterative for its porous structure and low cost, yet, it does not show good performance in the deodorization process, because its surface reaction and chemisorptions surface chemistry is not potent enough to enhance the specific adsorption and catalytic processes.
As main poisoning matter, these sulfates would deposit on the catalysts’ surface, microporous structure could be occluded and catalytic hydrolysis process would be blocked.

The phase composition was identified using an X-ray diffractometer (XRD; D8 advance, Bruker), operated at 40 kV, 40 mA, with Cu Ka radiation was performed to examine the crystal structures of the specimens, and it’s experimental conditions were as follows: a step width 0.02° and a scanning range of 10–80°.
