The results reveal that electrochemical degradation of C6H6 in acidic medium is highly effective, while a maximum about 41% reduction at 120 min was achieved with Pt/XC-72 composite during the electrochemical degradation.
Results and Discussion The data in Fig. 1 illustrates that the lower initial concentration, the higher percentage of C6H6 decomposition at pH 7.0 with Pt electrode.
Finally, the experimental data showed that the Pt/XC-72 performed remarkably well in the treatment of C6H6 in the electro-oxidation procedure.
