Nowadays, diffusion in solids is an important topic of materials science, solid-state physics, and physical chemistry of solids.
In the area of mass and heat diffusion in materials she has published some 320 journal papers and 20 book chapters.
He is now Professor Emeritus in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science of the Duke University at Durham, USA, Teh Yu Tan conducted fundamental research in materials science and processes related to electronic materials.
As head of a Microanalysis of Materials group and Director at the Institute for Materials Science of the Faculty of Engineering, Wolfgang Jäger and his group performed microstructure research and electron microscopy of materials, applying advanced and in-situ transmission electron microscopy and nano-analytics to studies of materials and interfaces.

Abstract.Finite element software was used to analyze the deformation of hot extrusion technology at high temperature and high speed for super-alloy Inconel 690(IN690).
Parameters of extrusion technology had been optimized and the extruding experiments had obtained successful results. 2 Material properties and parameters Physical model included that the properties of billet material and heat transfer coefficient and friction between billet material and tools.
