The experimental data on the influence of an abrasive grain form on the operating characteristics of flap grinding wheels such as its cutting capacity and cutting force, the wear of a flap grinding wheel, the temperature in the cutting zone and the processed surface roughness are given.
Mathematical computer processing of the obtained experimental data was made using the software package STATISTICA 6.0 by means of stochastic modeling based on the multiple correlation method.
This software allowed automatic processing of the obtained experimental data and investigating the relationship between output parameters of the grinding process and the shape coefficient (Кf) of grinding grains.
The analysis of the obtained data shows that processing by a flap grinding wheel is characterized by low temperatures in the cutting zone, which is caused by the design features of this tool, small loads of the grinding process and a ventilation effect.

An experimental data set which is representative of a localized gear tooth defect is used to compare the diagnostic capability of techniques.
The vibration data was collected from the drive end bearing of gear box using the accelerometer with a NI Data Acquisition Device with LabVIEW software.
The vibration data collected are exported as data file to MATLAB software for further processing of the signal to identify the fault.
