This phenomenon of outstanding mercury stabilization may be attributed to the structures of DTCR.
Apart from the chelating property of DTCR, the ligand chelating to Hg2+ may come from different DTCR molecules, producing a highly cross-linked and three-dimensional structure, which enhances the stability of the Hg-DTCR chelate complex[14].

Since surface tension of liquid is a crucial parameter determining the liquid-gas interfacial behaviors in many technological processes such as coating[4], surfactant[5] and absorption[6], surface properties related to surface tension of liquids always have been the subject of extensive research in the fields of agriculture, biology and chemistry industries.
Based on those findings, it was proposed that the magnetic field broke the hydrogen-bonds between water molecules and disrupted water cluster structures.
Therefore, it can be inferred that the magnetic field causes more free water molecules to form ordered structure of hydrogen bonds to reach a more stable energy state.
