The characteristics of the laterite such as In-situ quality of laterite, color, Physical appearance, structure, and strength were examined by assessment.
Mechanical assessment of laterite from the location was performed to determine the amounts of the various characteristics, textures, and structures that were analysed by taking samples.

Nitrogen sorption isotherms of carbon RF According to the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC) classification, the carbon synthesized from the polymer precursors of resorcinol and formaldehyde follows the type IV for N2 adsorption-desorption isotherm curve.
The results showed that carbon RF had a mesoporous structure based on the IUPAC classification with a mean pore diameter of 3.90 nm.
The polymer-derived carbon has specific surface area of 594 m2 g-1 and relatively graphitic structure.
