Abstract.Longitudinal crack is one of the main subgrade diseases of qinghai-tibet highway and
Instruction The qinghai-tibet highway lies in permafrost regions, cause of the special natural and geographical environment have an impact on the subgrade and the frozen soil below it,leading to the roadbed disease rate is more than the non frozen soil region and have a much bigger scale.Longitudinal crack is one of the major qinghai-tibet highway subgrade diseases,it is usually found in the side of sunny slope of high embankment or dropsical slope toe.The crack length from a few meters to tens of meters, some crack width even can be more than 20cm[1].The causes are mainly composed of embankment heights[2],difference of Yin and Yang slope[3],side slope seepage, dropsical slope toe,and frost heave effect of seasonal active layer caused by black pavement thermal effect.
