The objective of this study was to develop 1H-NMR spectroscopy combined with chemometrics of principal component analysis (PCA), partial least square-discriminant analysis (PLS-DA), and orthogonal projections to latent structures-discriminant analysis (OPLS-DA) for authentication of C. xanthorrhiza.
Chemometrics of principal component analysis (PCA), partial least square-discriminant analysis (PLS-DA), and orthogonal projections of latent structures-discriminant analysis (OPLS-DA) was performed using SIMCA 14.0 software.
PLS-DA (A) and OPLS-DA (B) score plot of pure and adulterated C. xanthorrhiza with C. aeruginosa Other supervised pattern recognition namely orthogonal projections to latent structures-discriminant analysis (OPLS-DA) was also used in this study to differentiate pure and adulterated C. xanthorrhiza with C. aeruginosa.

Results and Discussion In the experiment, the structures of sample are investigated by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Raman spectroscopy.
Fig. 2d is a typical TEM image which showed that the porous structure contains some pores 10-20 nm in diameter in the red circle.
