To investigate the optical and electrical characteristics of bulk crystals, the C/Si ratio of source materials was varied.
In order to obtain pure SiC bulk crystal, the source materials need to be purified.
Elemental Si and C powder were used as source materials.
The grain size of both materials was 10 µm.
Summary By using elemental Si and C as source materials, SiC wafers with high resistivity were obtained.

Mechanical design can be defined as the choice of materials and geometry, which satisfies, specified functional requirements of that design.
The transmission ratio is 5 and the material for gear pair 40Ni2Cr1Mo28.
The material consumption is directly proportional to the cost.
