The selection of tetragonal zirconia polycrystals doped with yttria has some important advantages since their properties may be tailored to have different combinations of strength and fracture toughness by changing the microstructure.
This is studied here by looking to the damage induced by spherical indentation with a single load cycle, as well as by application of repeated cyclic contact stresses in Y-TZP after a heat treatment at 1650 °C which is the condition that gives the best combination of mechanical properties.
However, this is not the case for elastic tensile stresses, so that the small cracks generated at the surface by the high elastic stresses can only be extended by the residual inelastic component during loading-unloading until the residual driving stress is lower than the threshold stress intensity factor for fatigue crack growth.
Since the crack has propagated during contact loading, the final residual stress intensity factor should be small and this probably does not strongly affect the above estimation.

The impact of dislocation diffusion can be either beneficial or detrimental, depending on the effect of the segregation on material's properties.
Mechanical alloying.
The latter depends not only on Dv but also on the vacancy occupation probabilities (concentrations) at various core sites, as well as on the partial jump-correlation factors.
It accurately reproduces a number of properties of Al, including elastic constants, phonon frequencies, the intrinsic stacking fault energy and others.

The morphology of rape seeds and powdery fractions The dust formed during the handling of rapeseed meal differs in chemical composition and physical properties comparing to the natural meal, due to the morphology of rapeseed.
Hull has in relation to the cotyledon and embryo less fat (6% vs 56% dm) and protein (15% vs 44% ddm), but more fibers having the encrusting properties (40% vs 6.6% ddm) [5].

Microcrystalline cellulose (MCC) has been widely used in the production of composite materials because it is inexpensive, easy to process, good mechanical properties and environmentally friendly.
Understanding the thermal behavior of MCC is important because thermal degradation occurs at different rates and directly affects the final product.
The Arrhenius equation is used to get the rate constant k: k=Aexp-EaRT (3) where Ea is the activation energy, A is the pre-exponential factor, T is the absolute temperature and R is the gas constant (8.314 J Kmol-1).

Other studies associated with the effect of temperature on corrosion process of carbon steel in contact with saline soils and solutions representative of soils suggest that the effect of depth and type of soil are relevant factors to activate the oxidation of steel [11-13].
Soil properties depend of soil particle size distribution, organic content, mineralogical composition and structure.
The above is due to the different physico-chemical properties and biological effects of each one of the soils such as particle size, organic matter content, water-retaining capacity, and mainly ionic conductivity of each soil.
As it is shown in Table 3, the conductive properties of each soil are as a follow: marshy soil > clay soil > sandy soil.

Average degree of polymerization of insulation oil paper (board) material used in large power transformer is generally about 1000, when the toughness and strength and mechanical strength of insulating paper (board) are good.
The degree of polymerization, the number of glucose monomers constituting the paper fibres, closely related to the mechanical properties of the insulating paper, is the most reliable characteristic parameters reflecting the ageing condition of the insulating paper.
The latter one describes that of the transformer internal temperature distribution and the different hot spots, will directly affect the solid insulation ageing rate.
Table 3 gives the remaining life assessment results with a sole factor of temperature.
The oil temperature has substantially reduced after the main transformer cooling transformation, so if the temperature factor is only taken into account in the transformer thermal aging analysis, the life assessment results obtained will be a longer life expectancy, and this results are not in line with the actual situation of the joint multi-factor aging.

Product specifications such as size (mass, dimensions), soluble solids, acidity, flavour, etc., are some of the physical, mechanical and chemical properties that may require measurement [4].
The results show clearly that for lower transportation cost factor we reduce the total cost, but the quality level achieved by the food supply chain does not change.
Similarly, for higher transportation cost factors, the results change significantly while maintaining the required quality level.
That does explain how the shelf life of products is affected by temperature deviations during transportation and storage.
In conclusion, the total cost curve is very similar for most transportation cost factors as shown in Figure 6, so transportation cost does not have a considerable impact on total COQ.

It has competitive advantages such as good quality surface, improved mechanical properties, and dimensional accuracy of the products.
Pre-stress is a very important factor for the bottom corner stress concentration.
To investigate the pre-stress affect on the stress concentration, the tensile stress in the second die on the 8 points defined in fig.10 was compared with a non pre-stressed die.
