As the steels were developed for structural applications, a great numbers of concepts established for steels can also applicable to other materials that has structural applications.

There is obvious grain refinement effect; The amount of N doping and B is low, two obvious resistance decreased steps of the film resistance temperature characteristic curve appear, which can provide key materials for multilevel storage C-RAM; When the doping amount is higher, amorphous resistance in a large temperature range is very narrow, which greatly enhance stability, and at the same time, amorphous resistance also have improvement of different degrees; Doped with Ag and Sn atoms, while the amorphous and crystalline resistance decreases, it can reduce the crystallization activation energy, which can accelerate the crystallization rate.

Since the different water quality between desalinated water and conventional treated drinking water, a considerable number of studies exist that describe the potential problems that may occur when waters that have different chemical characteristics are supplied intermittently into distribution systems[6] When desalinated seawater is transmitted in water distribution system, it could destroy the original balance of pipe networks and would result in the substandard effluent in pipe ends such as high turbidity, chromaticity or iron content caused by iron release[7].
