Materials and Methods 2.1 Chemical and apparatus Methanol was purchased from a supplier in Makassar with 99.5 % of purity as analytical grade condition. ethyl acetate, and chloroform, sulfuric acid 10%, FeCl3, Vanillin, Dragendrorf, Wagner, Liebermann-Buchard solutions, Whatman no. 42, silica gel 60 H, silica gel G 60 (230-400 mesh) and Plate Thin layer Chromatography gel 60 GF254 (TLC) obtained from Sigma chemical, Germany. 2.2 Preparation of bark kelor The bark of kelor (Moringa oleifera Lam) was provided by local people in Borongcalla sub-village, Tamasaju village, Galesong Utara district, Takalar regency.
