Preface This issue of the journal is dedicated to the scientific and applied research presented at the XIII International Conference "Radiation-Thermal Effects and Processes in Inorganic Materials".
The aim of the conference was to support young talented people, to involve students, postgraduate students and scientists in the solution of actual scientific problems of next topics: • physical and chemical phenomena in inorganic materials in radiation, electrical and thermal fields; • modification of structure and properties of inorganic materials by methods of radiationthermal effects; • experimental methods of radiation-thermal processes in inorganic materials; • instrumental, technical and technological maintenance of radiation-thermal processes; • adjacent topics with the main conference issues.

It is deduced that if the barrier layer was removed by using electrochemical deposition which can deposit metals or other semiconducting materials (CdSe, CdTe, etc.) into the nanotubes [6].
