It was clearly seen from metallographic cross
sections that the grain structure is comparable to that of old pipe metal sheets if the sand bed was
used.

Being a gradual but progressive time-dependent inelastic deformation of a component subjected to mechanical load at elevated temperature, creep is often characterized by microstructural rearrangements such as dislocation movement, grain boundary cavitation and ageing of microstructure [5].
Over time, a number of experimental and numerical examinations have been conducted to advance the understanding of creep behaviour of components being operated at high temperatures and the constitutive creep relationship, equations for the evolution of creep damage and the methods for the prediction of the useful creep life of components are topics that attract the highest attention [5].

The smaller grain sizes of ceramic and metal scaffolds are more favorable for osteogenic cell attachment and proliferation.
To increase the biocompatibility of scaffolds, encapsulate undesirable additives, regulate absorption, or prevent corrosion, a number of surface treatments can be applied.

This work provides the fundamental thermodynamic and kinetic properties and methodologies for the further investigations of the nucleation, grain growth, (structural) phase transformations and so on.
In fact, the DW factor is related to the local structure, the difference between DW factors of heterogeneous atoms may be caused by the differences in atomic radius (i.e., rTi = 1.47 Å, rAl = 1.43 Å, rMn = 1.37 Å, rCr = 1.29 Å, rFe = 1.26 Å, rB = 0.88 Å and rC = 0.77 Å ) and partial coordination numbers.

The product range was broadened and extended to other fields (covering powders for ladle and tundish) which led to an ever-growing number of powder recipes and a greater demand for quality production.

Besides, it involves a higher number of experiments for determining the optimal conditions.
N=2n-1+2n+nc (2) Where N, n, and nc are the number of experiments, the number of process variables, and the number of center points.
The transformation of predicted responses to unit values with boundary conditions values between 0 and 1 is a prerequisite for the desirability process, which requires higher dr values and a higher number of responses [42].
The increase could be because at high temperatures, a large number of heavy metals tend to be in collision with the active sites of the adsorbent which in turn forms complexes around their structure [44].

In ballistics, the material properties of concrete as the compressive and tensile strength of the matrix, type, and size of aggregate, steel bar spacing, position and the number of layers, and possible fiber type, content, tensile and bond strength of fibre, and its orientation determine the ballistic performance [4].

However, RH(T) values with the expected sign were observed in microcrystalline Si
with a grain size as small as 3 − 5 nm [28, 32] and in a-Si:H in which extended states (i.e., delocalized
states) were the dominant contributor to the resistivity [33].

As shown in Fig. 3(c), a huge number of light gray needle-like TiO2-TiNb2O7 plates (the ratio of TiO2/TiNb2O7 was 2.998) (“8”) and hillock-like Y2O3-SiO2 particles (“9”) distributed disorderly in the glass-like Cr-rich SiO2-Al2O3 matrix (“7”).
Since the free energy of Y2O3 was the lowest among the oxides formed in the scale, then at the initial stage of oxidation process Y2O3 was preferentially formed in the grain boundary where Y atoms with large dimension gathered originally.
