Ca3Al2O6 (often simply called "aluminate" phase) is the fastest reacting cement mineral, but its initial reaction is halted by gypsum forming ettringite on its surface:

When alite has reacted a while, more surface of Ca3Al2O6 in the multi-mineral cement grain will be exposed and after a while there will be more aluminate reacted than there is gypsum to stabilize ettringite.

Soft soil is widely distributed in China, which can be divided into marine facies, delta facies, weak grain facies, inland fluvial facies, lake facies, marshes facies soft soil according to different causes.
A large number of experimental results show that: primary consolidation coefficient Cv changed with changes of stress level, which means that using constant primary consolidation coefficient Cv during the consolidation and settlement calculation process of soft soil foundation can not meet the project reality.
