Idea of ecological super highway was first put forward to nanjing-hangzhou expressway (Jiangsu section) in 2004 in China and slope vegetation, vegetation for slope protection, slope eco engineering and slope vegetation restoration produced, however, the idea has been proposed earlier in overseas.
That is using living plants, only plants or plants combine with civil engineering material and non-living plant materials to reduce instability and erosion of slope.
