Preface
The anniversary tenth edition of the International Conference on Materials Science and
Engineering - BraMat (Brasov Materials) was successfully occurred from March 8 to March 11,
2017 at the "Sergiu T.
BraMat International Conference 2017 was organized by "Transilvania" University of Brasov - Faculty of Materials Science and Engineering in cooperation with Academy of Technical Sciences from Romania, the Foundry Technical Association of Romania, the Association for Heat Treatment and Surface Engineering and the Romanian Welding Society.
The conference's contributions have been presented, oral or poster, in the frame of eight sections of the conference, as follows: (1) Metallic materials, (2) Biomaterials, (3) Ceramics, polymers and composite materials, (4) Surface engineering, (5) Nanomaterials, (6) Welding engineering, (7) Safety engineering and (8) Magnesium science and engineering.
Out of all papers presented at conference, the authors have chosen to publish 38 of their contributions in Materials Science Forum journal edited by Trans Tech Publications.
Last but not least, special thanks to Trans Tech Publications for dedicating this issue to BraMat 2017 international conference.
