The harmonization of metallic, ceramic, and polymer biomaterials is needed for advanced biomaterials in the future.
If this modification of metallic biomaterials via chemical bonding is successfully established, high-endurance long-life scaffolds for artificial organs may be developed for incorporating with tissue engineering.
This type of scaffold will connect biomaterials science and engineering with tissue engineering.
