The mechanical properties of the material are characterized by testing the tensile, shear, and frictional behavior.
The material behavior is implemented into a discrete mesoscopic finite element model that can predict the response of the material during deformation.
User-defined material subroutine.
Abaqus/Explicit allows the user to link custom constitutive models with the overall solver to update the stress (Eq. 2) via its user-defined material subroutine, VUMAT.

Materials The process of selection of a suitable combination of materials can be marked as an important milestone in an engineering design.
All materials from first group are non-porous, composite as well as classical construction materials as steel were selected, see Table 1.

In addition to the commonly present materials in silicon ICs, other materials such as ceramics and most recently carbon nanotube(CNT)arrays are also being incorporated into MEMS.
It is then clear that further development, in terms of new MEMS materials and new technologies, is needed to minimize these difficulties [4, 9].
An economical way to deal with higher temperatures and other aggressive environmental conditions is to build MEMS sensors out of robust materials(e.g.
