JTG F40-2004 [11] of China permits a 0.075mm sieve passing extent of 4%-8% by mass for engineering gradation design with a median of 6%.
In practical engineering projects, the 0.075mm sieve passing percentage of mineral aggregates gradation is usually less than the median of 6% and about 4-5%.
Meanwhile, the optimum asphalt content in practical engineering projects is about 4-5% by the mass of mineral aggregates as well.
