With the development of modern science and technology, the elements such as Al, Si, Mo, C, B will be doped into the TiN and CrN binary films to improve their properties.
However, with the progress of science and technology, especially with the further increase of the cutting speed in recent years, traditional binary TiN, CrN films cannot meet the more stringent requirements on hardness and high-temperature.

The majority of failures can be attributed to both high-cycle fatigue [11, 12], and the fact that structural materials contain stress concentrations from which fatigue cracks frequently initiate.
A summary of the response of materials under fatigue is presented by Suresh [17], where it is clearly demonstrated that process of fatigue starts with the first cycle.
It has been demonstrated by comparison with experimental data [20] that the use of this value of Δσ0 for L gives good predictions, not only for notches but also for short cracks in many different materials.
The paper is further confirmation that TCD can be widely applied in the study of fatigue and brittle fracture in many types of materials.

Biomimetics is the field of science in which we adapt designs from nature to solve modern problems.
The materials chosen for the fabrication of the blades should be strong and stiff, should have high fatigue endurance limit and should have a low manufacturing cost.
The commonly used materials are GFRP (Glass Fiber Reinforced Polymer) and laminated wood.

TiO2 is one of the most promising photocatalytic materials for the photodegradation of organic pollutants in water and air.
Compared with other semiconductor materials, TiO2 has many advantages, such as higher photocatalytic performance, better chemical stability, nontoxicity and cheapness.
Cetyltrimethylammoniumbromide (CTAB), a typical cationic surfactant, is often used in the scientific researches. In nanometer materials preparation process, surfactants function as template, stabilizer and dispersant.

Their shallow draught, high maneuverability, speed and relative resistance to damage in low-speed collisions are specific advantages offered by these vehicles thanks to specific design solutions and materials [1].
Composites, in fact, permit to create desired shapes and smooth surfaces thanks to manufacturing processes which competitiveness is difficult, if not impossible, to tie when other materials are used [2].
Between the large family of fiber reinforced materials, the glass-reinforced plastics (GRP) seem to represent the best compromise between the different needs, especially in terms of performance against costs.
Some boat manufacturers also weave Kevlar, Basalt [3, 4] or other uncommon solutions of reinforcement (including nanofibers [6]) into the GRP sheets for extra strength, moving the general technology toward hybrid materials [7, 8].
