Preface
2014 the 4th International Conference on Frontiers of Manufacturing Science and Measuring
Technology (ICFMM 2014) will be held in Guilin, China during June 19-20, 2014.
The conference aims mainly at promoting the development of measuring, manufacturing and information science, strengthening the international academic cooperation and communications, and exchanging research ideas.
I think ICFMM 2014 will be the most comprehensive Conference focused on the Frontiers of Manufacturing, Measuring and Information Science.
On behalf of the guest editors for this conference proceeding, we would like to thank the National 863 Program of China, National Science Fund of China.
Thomas Wohlbier, Managing Editor of Journal of APPLIED MECHANICS AND MATERIALS, is greatly acknowledged.

Abstract.
Introduction Particulate-reinforced polymeric composites are widely used as advanced engineering materials.
Further more, the relaxation time of polymeric materials is investigated by experimental method .
The experimental results indicate that the relaxation time of PP and HDPE is a function of the strain rate of the material [8], this means that the viscous effect of matrix materials will be nonlinear.

The identification of material
parameter is finished by ANN using the experimental strain increments, loading increments and
material stresses, after that, we can get loading increments for the next deformation stage by the
ANN trained by material stresses, objective strain increments and the identified value m.
With the rapid development of modern industry, many new materials, some of which is hard for forming, have been widely used, and the required quality and precision of formed products are quite severe.
When the material deformation finished, the material strains are recorded and used together with the material stresses to identify the new material parameter value m.

Alternative materials reinforced with GFRP bars in the excavation of the application, you can solve the drawbacks of steel used in the pit, are environmentally friendly, and will not have an impact on the surrounding underground construction projects.
To ensure the quality of construction of the supporting structure for the processing of materials GFRP bars, lashing and lifting have raised higher requirements.
GFRP bars materials testing, inspection GFRP bars approach should check the following items.
Glass fiber reinforced fiber reinforced composite materials, although there are data to show that the glass fiber reinforced UV capability is superior, glare 1000 hours remained at about 81 percent strength, but in the normal course of the project or proposal stored.

These UV absorbers consume the ultraviolet light’s energy and protect polymeric and other light-sensitive materials from degradation by sunlight or UV.
Aramid composite materials are generally used in the atmosphere, their mechanical performance is affected to some extent by the sunlight especially the ultraviolet.
These UV absorbers transfer ultraviolet to heat and protect polymeric and other light-sensitive materials from degradation by sunlight or UV.
