Abstract.
Compared to other materials, highly-doped Si has a large PF, but this is outweighed by high k, meaning that ZT is poor for bulk Si (ZT ~ 0.01 at 300 K [1]), about 100-fold worse than for popular TE materials such as bismuth telluride (ZT ~ 1).

Introduction
By virtue of its close resemblance to natural bone mineral and tooth enamel, hydroxyapatite (Ca10(PO4)6(OH)2, HA) has become a key bioceramic which has attracted significant interest in both materials research and clinical applications.
Materials and Methods Three types of HA powder were sintered in this study, namely, micro-spheres (MS, Fluidinova, Portugal), nano-rods (NR, Nanjing Emperor Nano Materials, China) and nano-spheres (NS, Sigma-Aldrich, US).

Tungsten oxide is a kind of multifunctional materials with excellent properties for gas sensing, electrochromic and photocatalytic applications.
Introduction Tungsten oxide is a type of attractive materials for hydrogen sensing for its high selectivity and sensitivity [1,2].
Therefore, controlling the nanostructure of the materials is of great importance to improve sensing performance [3].
In addition, the easy transformation between different phases is versatile to build other quasi-2D materials, which are attractive in relevant applications.
