Abstract.
Introduction Titanium and its alloys are widely used as materials for permanent implants in orthopedics and dentistry.
To enhance bone bonding coatings with bioactive materials, such as HA, are developed.
The development of bioceramics becomes of great importance for bone replacement, repair or reconstruction – the population shows an increased ageing and a high diseases occurrence and new materials are needed to overcome the shortcomings of the current ones [3].
Materials and methods A Ti6Al4V bar with 24mm in diameter was cut with a metallographic cutter to obtain 1mm thick disks.
