Knowledge of diffusion is therefore particularly important for scientists who design materials for
elevated temperatures and for engineers who build equipment for operation at such temperatures.
A thorough understanding of diffusion in materials is crucial for materials development and engineering.
His father, a civil engineer, was a superindendent of buildings.
Kirkendall left research in 1947 and served for almost thirty years as secretary of the American Institute of Mining, Metallurgical and Petroleum Engineers.
MYSORE DAYANANDA is professor of the School of Engineering of Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana, US.

The application of solid waste to the research of ecological slope protection substrate is reflected in the small environmental geotechnical engineering problems of the interaction between human activities and the natural environment in environmental geotechnical engineering.
Finally, based on the field test, the feasibility of the best ratio of solid waste substrate in the actual slope engineering is verified.
It was found that the slope protection effect was good as a whole, which verified the feasibility and effectiveness of the best ratio of solid waste substrate utilization in actual slope engineering.

Owing to their unique properties the shape memory alloys (SMAs) make it possible to find non-standard solutions of important engineering problems, the fields of their application are of great diversity and are being steadily extended – these are, first of all, medicine, space and aviation technologies, robotics, power engineering [1-14].
