The area of newly-added buildings is 2,500,000,000m2 every year, and only the demand of doors and windows for urban civil buildings is up to 200,000,000m2.
The material performance, heat engineering calculation and energy consumption simulation of exterior windows as well as the research, development and application of energy saving technology for building exterior windows have already become relatively mature, however the fact that the exterior windows themselves contain energy and the contribution of different energy-saving exterior windows to energy consumption during operation of buildings are often neglected, which exactly are the important part in full life cycle assessment of green buildings and are the link to directly connect green building materials and green buildings.
