Vessel Traffic Flow Distribution Model of Bridge Area Waterway in the Middle Stream of Yangtze River

Therefore, it is important to analyse vessel traffic flow in the bridge waterway(WAN, 2008) for shipping safety and efficient of Yangtze River waterway.
The vessel arrival fit Normal distribution, and the vessel spacing fit Erlang distribution; In (LIU and LIU, 2010), research has introduced the concept of vessel traffic flow and got the vessel traffic distribution per 24 hours by analysing vessel arrival distribution in Jingzhou Yangtze River Bridge; In (LIU et al., 2008), research has used the dynamic queueing theory to build the “channel-anchorage ground-berth system” in port, then analyses the change of vessel arrival rate, the number of parking space and berth, the influence for waiting time; In (LIAO and ZHANG, 2004), research has studied the parameter estimation of vessel arrival distribution in the three gorge lock, and explored the parameter relation of the classic formula for inland vessel; In (WONG et al., 2009), research has analysed the relation between change of berth and containership arrival, the relation between distribution of containership length and containership arrival.
