Rubber foam specimens for properties testing after vulcanization were prepared using a compression moulding process at 170 °C, with different curing times for each rubber formulation based on data from cure characterization.
With the previously mentioned increase in average pore size, the compressive strength decreased from 0.112 to 0.071 MPa, a reduction of approximately 57%.
