Shen. et al. reported that the Gibbs free energy of forming TiAl3 was the minimum compared with all the other type of Ti-Al intermetallic compounds [17].
Those data show a solubility of Al in Ti5Si3 which is consistent with the report [22].
In Fig. 3, it also has been seen that the regions of Ti5Si3 with Al atoms are light, while, the regions of Ti5Si3 without Al atoms are dark.

The results showed that single phase cubic Ti-Al-N solid solubility formed by Al atoms replacing some Ti atoms in the cubic TiN lattice occured in both TiAlN and Ti3AlN films.
Many researchers have demonstrated that the structure, wear and oxidation behaviors of Ti-Al-N films strongly depend on the Al content[8].
The comparison research on the effects of Vb on the structural and mechanical properties for Ti-Al-N films with different Al content is very useful to understand their relationships.
The maximum hardness for TiAlN film reaches 44.6 GPa, while the value for Ti3AlN film is only 30.1 GPa, indicating that the hardness for Ti(Al)N films is strongly dependent on Al content, and the solid solution strength effect play more role in TiAlN film due to more Al substituting for Ti compared to Ti3AlN films.

Conclusions The SCC behaviour of the 7046-T4 Al-Zn-Mg alloy was studied for the first time with interrupted SCC tests followed by tensile tests in air until fracture.
