Treatment monitoring data obtained by the matrix metalloproteinase 3–specific nanoprobe and microcomputed tomography show that intravenous injection of psi-tGC-NPs significantly inhibits inflammation and bone erosion in CIA mice, comparable to methotrexate (5 mg/kg).
PCL nanoparticles have been developed in order to study their ability to improve anti-leishmanial action of AmB with concomitant reduction in the toxicity associated with the latter [80].

The purified proteins were applied as cell-coating materials (termed as cell-cooking plate) to support experimental cells, and various biophysical and biological parameters were measured in comparison with standard as well as other experimental systems to acquire data, which were then compared and the conclusions were drawn.
This type of cooking-plate technology, where E-cad-Fc provides basal support to the cells and other immobilized factors satisfy specific needs, can be extremely beneficial for (1) ensuring undifferentiated state of stem cell in culture, (2) cost reduction associated with cytokines, and (3) hassle-free working condition without the necessity of regular media change, which is a standard practice for stem cell culture and a stress factor for the relevant people.

Since there is no published data for 2D-FG micro/nanobeams including the simultaneous effects of surface energy and modified couple stress, the present results of bending and buckling behaviors are compared with some limiting cases available in the literature.
3.1.1 Validation of static bending
The dimensionless center deflection of a simply-supported homogeneous microbeam with E=1.44 GPa, ν=0.38, h=88 μm, L=20h and b=2h and subjected to a uniformly distributed load of unit intensity q is presented in Table 2, based on the MCST and compared with Reddy [100] and Arbind and Reddy [101] for different values of the dimensionless material length parameter (l/h).
Such assumption is due to that there is no experimental data in the literature for the material length scale parameter of bi-directionally functionally graded materials l(x,zm) or of silicon (lSi).

In practice it is understood that the
reduction is enhanced in borate anionic networks under mild-reducing atmospheres when compared
to phosphate or aluminate networks.
The spectroscopic data indicate that the Eu 2+→ Mn2+ energy transfer process takes place in the host matrix of CaAl2Si2O8.
The photoluminescence results were correlated with the lifetime data to get an insight into the luminescence and energy transfer processes taking place in the system.

Understanding the manner in which damage evolves in engineering materials, systems or structures is currently the focus of extensive research. The object of the present book is to report recent advances in the areas of damage detection, assessment and quantification. All aspects of the topic are covered, ranging from detailed theoretical analyses to case studies of full-scale structures. Signal processing is still an important theme of the conference. However, some of the emphasis is now placed on damage mechanisms in materials. Also of vital importance, for structural health and condition monitoring, is the optimum choice of measurement strategy; including the specification of sensors.
