Introduction Zinc oxide (ZnO) is a II–VI group semiconductor material with a hexagonal Wurtzite crystal structure,a wide and direct bandgap of 3.37 eV,a large free-exciton binding energy (60 meV)[1],the lattice parameter a = 0.32495nm,c = 0.52069nm and density of 5.606g/cm3,high mechanical and thermal stabilities,which render it a more preferably short wavelength light-emitting material at room temperature.ZnO also has excellent performance in various fields such as optical,piezoelectric, thermoelectric,ferroelectric etc.
