As road designs evolved, materials such as lime, cement, additives, among others, were used to improve the behavior of the soils and thus solve the problem of poor condition of the pavements [1].
Researchers as well as engineers are in constant search of low-cost materials for the improvement of soils.

Experimental Procedures The raw materials utilized in this study include Australia's magnetite iron ore, anthracite coal (fine coal A3 grade, Vietnam), and Indian bentonite.
The particle size distribution ranges from 1 to 100 µm (Figure 1 (a)), and the iron ore particles exhibit sharp edges, typical of brittle oxide materials (Figure 1 (b)) [10, 11].

0 Introduction
Composite materials comprised of particles embedded in matrix exhibit increased stiffness,
tensile strength and creep resistance relative to the matrix material.
Then particulate composite represent a large group of materials used in a variety of application, such as automobile tires and solid rocket propellant [1].
The mechanical behavior of these materials depends on properties of constituents and any microstructural changes that may occur in the body under loading.

Glass ceramics, as new functional materials, possess not only high mechanical strength, good thermal and chemical stability and dielectric properties, but also excellent optical performance, with a variety of applications in optoelectronics and laser technology[3-7].
As ZnO-B2O3- SiO2-TiO2 glass ceramics have a low coefficient of thermal expansion ((3~5)×10-6/°C), high breakdown voltage and good heat dispersion, they are mostly used in passivated encapsulation materials matched with monocrystalline silicon, while its optical performance has been little researched[8-9].
